During this transitional phase, Munawar Mehraj and Mushtaq Habeeb will lead the interim body until the elections are held. They have been entrusted with overseeing day-to-day affairs and addressing the concerns of students across the country. Additionally, they will represent the Association in public and media engagements throughout this period.

Sheikh Azhar and Adil Bhat have been appointed as election observers and will oversee the entire electoral process. They are responsible for ensuring transparency, fairness, and the smooth conduct of the elections in line with the Association’s democratic values.

Danish Lone has been appointed as the Independent Observer and Head of the Disciplinary Committee of the Jammu & Kashmir Students Association until the completion of the election process. He will be responsible for upholding discipline, ensuring adherence to the code of conduct, and addressing any grievances that arise during this transitional period. Also, he will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the elections.

The Association remains committed to establishing a strong, decentralized organizational structure. Following the elections, new teams will be formed at the state, union territory, and national levels to effectively serve the needs and aspirations of students across regions.

The interim leadership will ensure the smooth functioning of operations, continued advocacy, efficient grievance redressal, and active student engagement during this transition.

The upcoming elections will be conducted electronically, ensuring maximum transparency, efficiency, and inclusive participation. An independent Election Sub-Committee will scrutinize all nominations based on eligibility, leadership potential, and commitment to student welfare.
