An allegation of a scam has surfaced in Karnataka that may shock the entire country. In fact, anti-corruption forum president NR Ramesh has alleged a Rs 46300 crore scam in Bengaluru Metropolitan Corporation i.e. BBMP. Along with making these allegations, NR Ramesh has also written to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file a complaint against 18 senior IAS officers, including the BBMP commissioner.

In this letter written by NR Ramesh to the ED, it is stated that a huge grant of Rs 46,300 crore was released under the Bengaluru Metropolitan Corporation for road development works (white topping work, sewerage) during the 9 and a half years from 2013-14 to 2023-24.

4,113 pages of documents were handed over

NR Ramesh has submitted a 4,113-page complaint to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Corporation Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath, Administrative Officer Umashankar, 18 IAS officers and all corrupt officers of the Corporation involved in the scam, alleging in the letter. of documents. These documents allege that more than 75% of the total grant amount has been misappropriated.
