Prayagraj: Allotment of land for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 to be held on the Sangam sands in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is underway and will be completed today. Under this process, land will be given to Akharas first, followed by other religious and social institutions. All preparations for the Mahakumbh Mela to be held from 14 January 2025 to 26 February 2025 are going on in full swing. Officials say that care is being taken in the land allotment process that under no circumstances will the akhadas get less land than the previous Kumbhs.
Land allotment work for arenas
Additional Fair Officer Vivek Chaturvedi said that the land allotment work is being done as per the traditional process. For this, this process is being completed in consultation with Prayagraj Fair Authority, Akhara Parishad and representatives of all Akharas. Chaturvedi also said that under no circumstances will the Akharas be given less land than the previous Kumbhs.
Official Process and Deadlines
The land allotment process is expected to be completed today. During this time, the fair authority officials are finalizing the process by holding separate meetings with Akhara Parishad and representatives of Akharas. Chaturvedi said that according to tradition, land will be allotted to akhadas first, followed by other institutions.
The Shankaracharyas and Dandi Swamis of Char Pith were also given land.
Additional Megha officer also informed that Shankaracharya and Dandi Swami of Char Peeth will also be allotted land as per tradition, so that they can also set up camps for their devotees during Mahakumbha. Let us tell you that the Maha Kumbh Mela is a grand event, and during it the needs of the saints and sages will be fully taken care of. The Fair Authority shall from time to time provide various facilities to Saints and Munis, so that they can perform their rituals and functions easily.
Mahakumbh Mela 2025 will end on Mahashivratri
Maha Kumbh Mela will start on 14th January 2025 on the day of Makar Sankranti and will end on the day of Mahashivratri on 26th February 2025. Lakhs of devotees will flock to this fair and a wonderful confluence of faith and devotion will be witnessed on the banks of the confluence.
