Life Certificate: Learn how to get digital life certificate through face verification

Jeevan Pravan, also known as Digital Life Certificate, is a biometric-based digital service designed to simplify the pension verification process for pensioners. The service is available to pensioners of Central and State Governments as well as other government bodies, allowing them to submit their life certificates online, anytime and anywhere.

Earlier, pensioners had to visit their pension-disbursing agencies in person every year to submit their life certificates. This process was often tedious and time consuming. Jeevan Praan initiative solves this problem by digitizing the Jeevan certificate submission process making it more efficient and convenient.

For Central Government pensioners, a faster alternative to the traditional method is available through face authentication. This allows pensioners to verify their identity and submit their life certificates digitally, without the need to visit a bank or pension office. Apart from face authentication, pensioners can also use other verification methods like biometric verification, iris scan, video KYC or visit India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) Gramin Dak Sevak for assistance.
