Maha Kumbh 2025: Next year, the Mahakambh Mela is going to be organized on the banks of the Sangam in Prayagraj (Allahabad) of UP. Mahakumbha is starting with the first bath on 13 January 2025. Millions of devotees will come to Prayagraj during Mahakumbh. In such a situation, the government has made massive preparations so that they do not face any problem in communication. The Department of Telecom has installed hundreds of mobile towers around the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Hundreds of mobile towers were installed
The arrival of millions of devotees may cause network congestion problems, for which additional mobile towers have been installed. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) while sharing a video from its official X handle said that 333 new mobile towers have been deployed for Mahakumbh. More than 70 portable mobile towers will be installed. With the installation of more than 400 new mobile towers, users will not face any problem in calling and using data.
Prayagraj will see a lot of crowd during Mahakumbh. These temporary mobile towers are installed to stay connected with family members in such situations. The Department of Telecommunication has installed mobile towers around Sangam Bank. Lakhs of devotees will reach the Sangam banks during the Mahakumbh, which is likely to cause network congestion problems. This mobile tower will provide relief to the users from call drops.
Inter-Circle Roaming
During Mahakumbh, telecom operators Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vodafone Idea can activate intracircle roaming, due to which if a user has an Airtel number, he can make calls using Jio or Vodafone-Idea network. However, the telecom operators have not yet announced this. During the recent cyclone in Orissa, telecom operators launched this facility so that people do not have any difficulty in talking to their family members during the calamity.
