North Korea tests explosive drone again, Kim issues major order, South Korea tensions rise

Seoul: North Korea has tested an explosive drone designed to strike targets with precision. Meanwhile, Kim Jong Un has talked about speeding up the mass production of these weapons. Government media gave information about this on Friday. The country conducted the test at a time when the US, South Korea and Japan are conducting joint military exercises with advanced fighter jets and an American aircraft carrier in nearby international waters.

Tests have already been done

North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released several photos showing Kim talking to officials near at least two different types of unmanned aerial vehicles. These include craft with an ‘X’-shaped tail and wings that resemble the country’s drones when Kim inspected another display of exploding drones in August.

Drones hit targets accurately

KCNA reported that the drones flew on different routes and accurately targeted the targets. The footage shows the drone targeting older models of BMW sedans and tanks. Kim expressed satisfaction with the weapons development process and stressed the need to “build a serial production system as soon as possible and carry out large-scale production.” Kim explained how drones are becoming important in modern warfare. KCNA echoed Kim’s words, saying that drones are easy to produce at low cost for many military activities.
