The Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held in Pakistan next year in which the Indian cricket team has refused to set foot on Pakistan’s soil to participate. BCCI has taken this big decision without getting the permission of the Government of India. In such a situation, the sword is hanging on the organization of the Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, another shocking news has come out for Pakistan. In fact, after Team India, the Indian blind cricket team has also refused to go to Pakistan. The team was supposed to participate in the T20 World Cup in Pakistan but the Indian government did not allow the team to travel to Pakistan due to security concerns. Rashtriya Maha Sangh gave this information on November 19.
The Indian team had to cross the Wagah border on Wednesday to participate in the tournament to be held in Pakistan from November 23 to December 3. The Indian blind cricket team received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Sports Ministry to participate in the tournament but could not get the approval from the Ministry of External Affairs.
Permission to go to Pakistan has not been received
Indian Blind Cricket Association (IBCA) General Secretary Shailendra Yadav told PTI that he has been informed informally that the blind cricket team will not be allowed to travel to Pakistan. Tomorrow his team was going to Wagah border. But no approval has yet been received from the ministry officials. So it’s a bit disappointing.
Yadav said that if he had been informed in time, he would have been spared the team selection process through selection trials. Yadav said that he is saying that when the mainstream cricket team is not safe then how can you be safe there. Of course he will accept the decision but why was the decision kept till the last minute. Why was he not told a month or 25 days in advance? There is a process. The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council clarified last week whether India should send its team to Pakistan for the World Cup but the tournament will take place on time. It won’t matter.
