Only one over was bowled by Akshar Patel
But then captain Suryakumar Yadav took a big decision and the 17th, 18th and 19th overs were bowled by the fast bowlers and from here the course of the match changed. While superstar spinner Akshar Patel had three overs left. While in the previous match, Akshar bowled only one over and in that he gave two runs. In such a situation, the biggest question is why did Surya bowl only one over to Akshar on a spin-friendly wicket? While fast bowler Arshdeep Singh proved costly and conceded 41 runs in his four overs. On the other hand, Avesh Khan gave 23 runs in 3 overs. Surya’s decision to bowl with the fast bowlers in the death overs proved costly for Team India and India faced defeat.
Hardik Pandya scored the most runs
Apart from poor captaincy, Suryakumar Yadav also flopped badly in batting. He scored only four runs in 9 balls in the match. Hardik Pandya scored the highest 39 runs for Team India. While Akshar Patel contributed 27 runs. Tilak Verma scored 20 runs. Hardik stayed on the wicket till the end and because of that Team India managed to score 124 runs.
