Pakistan: Army carried out major operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, killed 12 terrorists

Peshawar: Pakistan’s security forces have launched a major military operation against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. Security forces carried out two back-to-back operations in which 12 militants were killed. The army has given information about military operations on Wednesday. Army is looking at this operation as a major action against terrorists.

Pakistani army took action

The army said the first operation was launched on November 12 and 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Miranshah district and eight militants were killed in an encounter in North Waziristan area. Six terrorists have also been injured in this encounter. According to Pakistan Army’s media wing ‘Inter-Services Public Relations’ (ISPR), in another operation, security forces have targeted an alleged terrorist hideout in Balaghat of Ketch district of Balochistan.

A notorious terrorist was killed

According to ISPR, four militants, including notorious terrorist Sana alias Baru, were killed in an army operation in Balagat. The Sena said Baru was the main agent recruiting terrorists for the ‘Majid Brigade’ in Ketch. He was particularly involved in the recruitment of ‘suicide bombers’. His name was also on the wanted list of the law enforcement agency. (language)
