Party issues advisory over questionable National Conference application in circulation

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) today issued an important clarification stating that they have not launched any official mobile application which is in circulation.

The announcement comes amid reports of a suspicious app link on social media which the party termed as fake and suspicious.

In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), JKNC wrote, “Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) would like to clarify that we have not launched any mobile application. Please be aware of the application link currently circulating on social media. Do not download or install it, as it may compromise the security of your data and is most likely a scam. Stay safe and protect your personal information!”

The statement underscores growing concerns about cybersecurity threats, particularly those targeting users through fake or malicious apps. JKNC has urged the public to be vigilant and avoid engaging with unverified links or downloading applications that could potentially lead to data breaches or misuse of personal information.
