Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurveda’s total revenue to grow 23.15 per cent in 2023-24 to Rs. 9,335.32 crore, helped by other income including income from OFS of Patanjali Foods (earlier Ruchi Soya) and other group entities, according to the company’s filing with the RoC.

Patanjali Ayurveda’s other revenue in FY24 was Rs. 2,875.29 crore as compared to Rs. 46.18 crore, according to financial data accessed by business intelligence platform Toffler.

Its income from operations, which is primarily net sales revenue, declined 14.25 percent in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, to Rs. 6,460.03 crores. It reported a five-fold jump in its gross profit in FY24 to Rs. 2,901.10 crores.

Patanjali Ayurveda in the financial year ended March 31, 2023, reported Rs. 7,533.88 crore on revenue of Rs. 578.44 crores was reported as total profit.

Patanjali Ayurveda, a non-listed entity, which includes other income, reported a total revenue of Rs. 7,580.06 crores.

Patanjali Ayurveda’s ad promotional spend in FY24 also increased by 9.28 percent to Rs. 422.33 crores.

Earlier this year in July, the Haridwar-based Sanstha Group announced the transfer of its entire home and personal care business from Patanjali Ayurveda to another entity Patanjali Foods for a consideration of Rs 1,100 crore.

In July 2023, the promoters of Patanjali Foods launched a two-day OFS (Offer for Sex) to increase its total stake in the company to around 7 percent to meet the minimum public shareholding requirement. This was oversubscribed more than twice.

Patanjali Foods, a leading edible oil manufacturer was acquired by the Patanjali Group through the bankruptcy resolution process and Patanjali Ayurveda is one of its promoters.

In FY24, it made Rs. 31,961.62 crores as against the previous year’s total revenue of Rs. 31,821.45 crores.

Patanjali Ayurveda is mainly engaged in Ayurvedic manufacturing and FMCG business which mainly includes hair care, skin care, dental care, home care, personal care, dairy products and bulk trading of food products etc.

The group has manufacturing facilities across the country and other contract manufacturing facilities at Dehradun and Manesar. It is mainly sold in India through independent distributors, exclusive stores of marketing federations etc.
