Peshawar: Ali Amin Gandapur, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has warned of more anti-government protests demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. “We will continue attacks like the Battle of Panipat,” Ali Amin said on Saturday, referring to the historic battle in the subcontinent.
The attacks will continue
Ali Amin Gandapur said that we will definitely win if the demands are not met, referring to a march organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party on November 24 demanding Khan’s release. “We have carried out only five attacks so far and will continue the remaining attacks,” Ali Amin said.
What is PTI’s demand?
Imran Khan’s party announced to march to Islamabad with three demands. The party is demanding the release of jailed Khan and other leaders, recognition of the party’s victory in the February 8 elections and the repeal of the 26th constitutional amendment. The 26th Constitutional Amendment changed the process of appointment of judges and the Chief Justice. (language)
