Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge objected to this statement. Said that if the chairman has ordered an inquiry then what is the need to name any member before the inquiry is completed. Why did Abhishek take Manu Singhvi’s name? Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the Speaker has only talked about the meeting where the bundles of notes were found, what is wrong with it, why there is so much fuss over it.
Leader of the House JP Nadda said that receiving a bundle of notes in the House is a very serious matter. This cannot be taken lightly, so it should be investigated, but the way the opposition is stirring up the house raises doubts. Union Minister Piyush Goyal seized on Congress’ argument. Goyal said that if the Congress is ready, it should make a rule that if a case is under investigation, no one can be named in that case. Piyush Goyal said that Congress leaders are creating ruckus in the House every day with news published in foreign newspapers, is it right?
Goyal said that the Adani case is also under investigation, yet the Congress mentions Adani’s name day and night. If it is wrong to name Singhvi before the investigation, how much right it is to name Adani before the investigation is complete. Why not wait for the investigation to be completed?
