Rajat Sharma’s blog Why are Maulanas in Bangladesh threatening to behead Hindus?

Fundamentalists in Bangladesh have once again openly threatened to kill Hindus. Fundamentalists have threatened to raze Bangladesh’s ISKCON temples to the ground. A mob of thousands of people took to the streets and chanted slogans, arrest the ISKCON people, cut their necks, destroy ISKCON. Bangladeshi Hindus were threatened with massacre of Hindus by calling them ‘Modi’s brokers’. The surprising thing is that such slogans were raised in public. In venomous speeches, the Maulanas openly threatened to cut off the heads of Hindus and throw them in yajnakunds, but the Bangladesh government took no action against the fanatics. No statement has been given against it. Hence the Hindus of Bangladesh are scared. ISKCON has sought intervention from the Government of India.

In the capital Dhaka, hardliners demonstrated near the home of interim government chief Mohammad Yunus. Maulanas made speeches against Hindus. Threatened to kill Hindus openly and cut throats of Hindus. The rally against Hindus was organized by the Ulema Aikya (Unity) Council. Big Ulemas of Dhaka participated in this rally. First of all, a human chain was formed around the Bangladesh Secretariat, demanding to ban ISKCON. ISKCON was termed as a terrorist group. ISKCON temples were described as dens of atheist terrorists. After this there was a brawl between the Maulanas.

The Maulana said that if the government did not ban ISKCON, the Muslims of Bangladesh would destroy ISKCON themselves and behead ISKCON people. The Dhaka Ulema Council has alleged that ISKCON is acting as India’s agent in Bangladesh. This campaign against ISKCON started 2 weeks ago from Chattogram, the second largest city of Bangladesh. Muslim fundamentalists in Chattogram demanded a ban on ISKCON, which ISKCON opposed. Hindus there protested the sharing of the video of the jihadists on social media, after which the Bangladesh police and army created a commotion in the Hindu area. Hindus were dragged out of their homes and beaten. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has condemned the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

The Muslim leaders of our country have also raised their voice against the atrocities on the Hindus of Bangladesh. Samajwadi Party MP Mohibullah Nadvi said that the Indian government should take steps to protect the Hindus of Bangladesh, talk to the Bangladesh government and if the atrocities on Hindus still don’t stop, give shelter to the Bangladeshi Hindus in India. . Prime Minister Modi met the saints of ISKCON in Raigad, Maharashtra on Thursday. Later, the Prime Minister also discussed the situation in Bangladesh with the saints of ISKCON and assured them of all help. Actually ISKCON is not an organization that one needs to fear. This association is for people who sing hymns of Lord Krishna and preach Bhagavad Gita. It is not an Indian organization nor does ISKCON have any political leanings.

I think ISKCON is just an excuse in Bangladesh, actually Hindu society is the target. Attempts are being made to intimidate Hindus in Bangladesh, they are being persecuted, their life has become difficult because there are some people among the Islamic fundamentalists who want to make Bangladesh a fully Islamic country. They want to run the government there using Taliban methods. Although this is not the original character of Bangladesh, the current government of Bangladesh is under the control of these fundamentalists. They have a license to threaten, kill, bite anyone and Hindus are left with no option but to remain united. However, those who know and understand Bangladesh feel that the whims of fundamentalists will not last long. (Rajat Sharma)
