SBI Fundraises in FY25 Rs. 50,000 crores

SBI at very competitive rates till date during FY25 Rs. 5,000 crore AT1 bonds, Rs. 15,000 crore Tier 2 bonds and Rs. 30,000 crore in long-term bonds.

SBI last month raised funds through additional Tier 1 bonds.

From Infra Bonds Rs. 10,000 crore raised, SBI’s total funding during the current financial year so far stands at Rs. 50,000 crore has been touched. State Bank of India, the country’s largest lender, earlier this month through its seventh infrastructure bond issue of Rs. 10,000 crore was collected.

SBI said in a statement that during FY25, the bank has so far collected Rs. 5,000 crore AT1 bonds, Rs. 15,000 crore Tier 2 bonds and Rs. 30,000 crore long-term bonds at very competitive rates.

All these issues have received overwhelming response from investors and have been oversubscribed more than 2 times against the respective base issue size, it said.

SBI Chairman CS Sethi said the broad participation and diversity of bids shows that investors have confidence in the country’s largest bank.

Investors were in provident funds, pension funds, insurance companies, mutual funds, banks etc.

These bonds have a tenure of 15 years except AT1 bonds which are perpetual.

Last month, SBI raised funds through additional Tier 1 bonds.
