What is a technical defect?

Money is withdrawn after entering the card and PIN in SBI or any bank’s ATM machine. Hackers also follow the same process, but while withdrawing money they leave a note in the machine, which causes the ATM machine to think that the account has not been withdrawn and the rest of the note is returned to the machine. Due to which money is not deducted from one’s account, but money disappears from the ATM machine.

The technical glitch came to light when the bank found that money had been withdrawn from ATMs but not from someone’s account. After this, when the bank employees checked the CCTV footage installed in the ATM machine, it was found that the scammers had very cleverly taken advantage of the time-out technical glitch to defraud the bank. Two people were suspected after committing this kind of fraud with several ATM machines. It was later revealed that they were doing all this using stolen ATM cards.
