New Delhi, Mar 7, KDC: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the repatriation of Justice Atul Sreedharan from the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court to his parent court, the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Justice Sreedharan was transferred to J&K in April 2023 upon his own request, citing the reason that his daughter was beginning her law practice in Madhya Pradesh. The transfer was made to avoid any potential conflict of interest.
In its latest decision, the Collegium has now advised that Justice Sreedharan be sent back to the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Justice Sreedharan was originally appointed as a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2016 and served there until his transfer to J&K. (KDC)
