‘Selfie with Toilet’, an amazing campaign in this Indian city, saw over 1 lakh people participate

19th November is celebrated as ‘World Toilet Day’ across the world. The main objective of this day is to make the world disease free by promoting cleanliness. If we talk about cleanliness in India, the name of Indore city of Madhya Pradesh comes first. For this reason, a unique campaign was launched in Indore on the occasion of World Toilet Day. The campaign was named ‘Toilet Super Spot’. Under this, people have to take a selfie with a mobile phone in front of the toilet. Surprisingly, under this campaign, more than one lakh people have taken selfies with toilets in Indore city.

What was the purpose of the campaign?

Indore officials said about the campaign that the ‘Toilet Super Spot’ campaign launched by the municipality aims to encourage cleanliness in more than 700 public toilets and urinals in the city as well as indoor toilets in slums. Under this campaign in Indore, 1,02,272 people took selfies in front of toilets till 9 pm on Tuesday. Let us tell you that the city of Indore has topped the national cleanliness survey for seven consecutive times.

Mayor of Indore thanked the people

Indore City Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava also appealed to the people of the city to participate in this campaign. He said that Indore is the only city in the country that guarantees cleanliness in public toilets and appealed to people to use them and click selfies outside them if they are satisfied with the facilities.

Thanking the people of Indore, the mayor wrote that this is not just a figure, but a wonderful example of the dedication and awareness of the people of Indore for the cleanliness of Indore, I respectfully thank all the residents of the city for this success.
