Settle dues by March 31, 2025 to get benefits of Power Amnesty Scheme : KPDCL

Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a final call to domestic consumers to avail the power amnesty scheme of the government before the deadline of March 31, 2025.

After this date, no further extensions will be granted, and customers will lose the opportunity to pay outstanding balances without late payment surcharges.

Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, Er. Aqib Waheed Dewa emphasized that customers have only four months left to pay their principal dues in full or in installments, free of any late payment penalty.

The scheme, which has already benefited 1,09,648 domestic consumers and Rs. 164 crore, has been instrumental in reducing the long outstanding amount. In total, the government has spent Rs. 58 crore in late payment surcharges, providing significant relief to consumers.

“This is the last chance for customers to settle their dues and avoid further complications. After the expiry of the scheme, we will be left with no option but to take legal action including disconnection,” Ayer warned. Aqib Waheed Dewa.
