Sewa Parv Celebrations To Be Held Across J&K From Sept 17

Srinagar, Aug 11, KDC: In a bid to promote public service, community participation, and inclusive governance, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced the observance of ‘Sewa Parv’ across the Union Territory from September 17 to October 2, 2025.

According to a government order, the fortnight-long programme will revolve around themes of service and social responsibility, with specific activities and departmental responsibilities outlined in an annexure to the order.

The Information Technology Department has been tasked with developing and maintaining a dedicated online portal for real-time monitoring, reporting, and documentation of activities during ‘Sewa Parv’, reported news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC). The portal will enable designated officers to upload activity-wise reports, photographs, and videos. Access credentials will be provided to all line departments well in advance.

The order further directs all concerned administrative departments to prepare detailed itineraries and action plans for implementation at divisional and district levels, designate a nodal officer for coordination and reporting, and ensure timely updates on the portal.

The Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu, along with all Deputy Commissioners, have been instructed to ensure coordinated implementation and inter-departmental convergence to make the event a success.

The initiative is aimed at fostering civic engagement, enhancing service delivery, and reinforcing the spirit of collective responsibility across Jammu and Kashmir. (KDC)
