Shooting set that cut down hundreds of trees, this big superstar’s film surrounded by controversies, know the whole case

Everyone is waiting for KGF fame pan India star Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic’. But the film has been mired in controversies even before its release. Now an FIR has been registered in this matter. As per the order of the Magistrate Court, the Karnataka Forest Department has registered a case against him for allegedly illegally felling trees for filming on forest land.

An FIR has been registered against these people

An FIR has been lodged under section 24 (8) of KFA 1963 against the producer of the film Toxic, KVN Mastermind Creations, General Manager of Canara Bank, General Manager of HMT. The matter came to light last month when Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandare visited and inspected the site and expressed concern over such activities.

South superstar Yash’s film is currently being shot. Due to this, Karnataka Forest Department and Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) have come face to face. It is alleged that hundreds of trees were cut down to prepare the film sets.

The Forest Minister wrote a letter in this regard

Ishwar Khandare, Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment in the Government of Karnataka, has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary in this regard. In which concern has been expressed over 599 acres of forest land. This land is now in possession of HMT. In fact, in a gazette notification, these reserved forest lands were given to HMT without any formal notification.

Struggle for land ownership

There is a dispute between the central and state governments over the ownership rights of this land. In his letter, Environment Minister Ishwar Khandre said that HMT is leasing the land for commercial purposes, including for the film ‘Toxic’.

Trees were cut without permission

Along with this, he claimed that a large amount of forest has been cut down for the film. This is a violation of deforestation limits. For this he has talked about comparing with satellite images. The minister said that if trees are cut without permission, it is a case of violation of forest law.
