National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed today in observation of Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. Accordingly, all segments including equity segment, derivative segment and SLB segment will remain closed.

Stock Market Holidays 2024
To avoid any confusion, individuals are encouraged to visit the BSE website at bseindia.com and click on the ‘Trading Holidays’ option at the top. This will display the complete list of stock market holidays for 2024. According to the list, there are three stock market holidays in November 2024. Two of these holidays were November 1, 2024, for Lakshmi Puja and November 15, 2024. Guru Nanak Jayanthi. The third holiday falls on November 20, 2024 in observation of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024.
As per the original schedule, there were only two stock market holidays in November 2024. However, following the announcement of Maharashtra Assembly General Elections on November 20, 2024, BSE and NSE have declared a market holiday on that day. As a result, Indian stock market will be closed today in view of Maharashtra Election 2024.
After today’s holiday, the next stock market holiday will be on December 25, 2024 in celebration of Christmas.
