Taipei Taiwan President Lai Ching Te has offered great advice to China at the conclusion of his first overseas trip. He told China not to threaten, it is better to arm its neighboring countries. He called on neighboring countries to open their arms instead of fighting Beijing in search of peace. Let us tell you that Lai Ching Teh has made his first foreign trip after assuming power in May.
Ching Teh made the comments while addressing reporters in the Pacific island nation of Palau on Friday. The comments come amid speculation that China may conduct military exercises around Taiwan in response to Ching Teh’s visit. “No matter how many military exercises and warships and planes are used to coerce neighboring countries, it (China) will not win the respect of any country,” he said.
China is angry with Taiwan
The president’s comments came a day after China’s foreign ministry announced sanctions on 13 American companies and six officials on Thursday in response to recent US arms sales to Taiwan. He said, “As I have said before, when authoritarian countries come together, democratic countries must unite to ensure global and regional stability and development. Let us tell you that China is always angry with Taiwan and considers it as its part. (AP)
