World record broken

In fact, this unique T20I cricket match was played at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos. In this match, a match was played between Nigeria and Ivory Coast. This was an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C 2024 match in which Nigeria, batting first, scored 271 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Ivory Coast team could only stay on the field for 7.3 overs and were all out for just 7 runs. With this, Mongolia’s embarrassing world record of being bowled out for the lowest score of 10 runs was broken.
Nigeria made history
7 out of 11 batsmen from Ivory Coast could not even open their account. A batsman could score a maximum of only 4 runs. The remaining 3 batsmen were dismissed on individual scores of just 1-1 runs. In this way, the Nigerian team won the match with a record margin of 264 runs. This win for Nigeria is historic as it is the third biggest win in terms of runs in T20 cricket history.
