Team India created a historic record, a brilliant entry into Pakistan’s charismatic club.

The third match of the 4-match T20I series was played in Centurion, South Africa. This match was very exciting. Both the teams managed to score more than 200 but in the end Team India won. Batting first, Team India scored 219 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs on the back of Tilak Verma’s brilliant century. In reply, the South African team could score only 208 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. In this way, Team India has taken an unbeaten lead of 2-1 in the 4 match series. By winning this thrilling match, Team India did what only one team in the history of T20I cricket could do before today.

In fact, with the win in Centurion, Team India scored a century of victories on foreign soil. That means Team India has achieved a great achievement of winning 100 matches in T20I cricket away from home. Indian team is only the second team in the world to do so. Earlier only Pakistan had done this feat. Out of 203 T20I matches played on foreign soil, Pakistan have won 116 matches while the team has lost 78 matches. At the same time, the Indian team has now registered 100 wins in 152 matches played on foreign soil.

Afghanistan team is third in terms of winning most T20I matches on foreign soil. 2021 T20 World Cup winners Australia are fourth with 71 wins from 137 matches played away from home. Australia’s arch-rivals England are in fifth place with 67 wins from 129 matches at home. The Indian team is now eyeing Pakistan’s record.
