India vs South Africa 3rd T20: Team India beat South Africa by 11 runs in the third T20I to take a 2-1 lead in the series. In this match, the batsmen performed brilliantly for Team India. Tilak Verma scored a brilliant century, while Arshdeep Singh bowled well in the death overs. South Africa needed 25 runs from the last over to win. But Arshdeep bowled patiently and conceded just 13 runs and also took the wicket of Marco Jensen who was batting well. South Africa’s defeat was almost certain after this wicket. He conceded just two runs in the last two balls and finally the win went to India.
Tilak Verma scored his maiden century in T20Is
In the second T20 match against South Africa, the Indian team had a very poor start. While Sanju Samson returned to the pavilion without opening the account. After this, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma took the responsibility of scoring runs. Tilak scored 107 runs off 56 balls which included 8 fours and 7 sixes. Abhishek contributed 50 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav once again flopped and managed to score only one run. Hardik Pandya scored 18 runs and Ramandeep Singh scored 15 runs. It is because of these players that the Indian team was able to score 219 runs. Keshav Maharaj took two wickets from Africa.
Marco Yanson scored a half century
Apart from Heinrich Klaasen, the South African batsmen got off to a good start but could not convert it into big innings. Opener Ryan Rickleton scored 20 runs and Riza Hendricks scored 21 runs. Skipper Aidan McCram returned to the pavilion once again after a good start and managed just 29 runs. Mark Yanson played an innings of 54 runs. Klassen contributed 41 runs. But the African team fell 11 runs short of the target and could only score 208 runs in 20 overs.
Strong bowling from Arshdeep in the death overs
Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly from India in the match. He took 3 wickets in four overs. Arshdeep conceded just 8 runs in the 18th over and then took the wicket of the brilliantly batting Henrik Klaassen, which was very important for India at that time. After this he conceded 13 runs in the 20th over and sent Marco Jensen to the pavilion. Varun Chakraborty took 2 wickets. Hardik Pandya and Akshar Patel took one wicket each.
