Noida International Airport will soon emerge as the largest airport in the country. Today i.e. 9th December, the first commercial flight will land on the runway of the airport. Airport officials say that the runway is being trialled after receiving the green signal from the DGCA. All preparations have been made for this. Earlier it was scheduled to land at 11 am on Monday but now it has been rescheduled and now the flight will land at the airport at 2 pm as a trial.
According to Nile officials, the Airport Authority of India aircraft will land at Noida International Airport. The trial process will be completed by landing and take off of the aircraft on the runway. The trial flight at the airport is starting from Monday i.e. December 9, which will continue till December 15.
When will the service start?
NILE officials further said that after this an application will be made to the DGCA for an aerodrome license to start commercial services from the airport. It is believed that if the trial run is completed on time, commercial flights will start at Noida airport from April 17, 2025. CAT-1 and CAT-3 devices are installed at the airport, which provide information about aircraft altitude and visibility in fog. The airport has also installed an Instrument Landing System (ILS), which was tested by the Beech King Air 360 ER aircraft from 10 to 14 October.
As far as flights
60 domestic flights will start at the airport from April. An agreement has been made with Indigo and Akasa for this. Domestic service will have air service to major cities like Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai etc. Two cargo services will be launched with international flights to Zurich, Singapore and Dubai.
A glimpse of Indian culture will be seen
Now only the terminal building is left to be constructed at the airport. Interior decoration will start after civil work. A glimpse of Indian culture will also be seen in this. Indian culture is central to the design of the airport terminal building. The staircases and terraces of Banaras are inspired by the waves of the Ganges River. The courtyard is inspired by ancient architectural mansions and the windows are latticed for ventilation. A 5-star hotel is also being built in the airport premises for passengers.
