A wedding procession on its way from Mumbai to Guwahati faced a strange crisis near Howrah. When they were about 15 kilometers from Howrah, the head of the procession realized that there were many old people and children in the procession who were not able to move from one platform to another in a hurry to catch another train. In such a situation, procession leader Chandrasekhar Bagh appealed for help to Divisional Railway Manager Howrah and Senior DCM Howrah via Twitter.
Railway officials made a special corridor
Both the officers directed to provide necessary assistance to their subordinates at Howrah station. Then what happened… Like Gitanjali Express reached Howrah station, railway employees and officials created a special corridor together and all the 35 people of the wedding procession were taken from Platform No. 21 New Complex to Platform No. 9 Old Complex in no time. helped Four battery-operated carts and wheelchairs were also arranged for the elderly members of the procession. More than a dozen railway employees were engaged in assisting the wedding procession.
