Kevin O’Learymillionaire investor and “Shark Tank” The judge launched a tirade against US Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a “flawed and broken candidate” after her unsuccessful bid for the Oval Office, the New York Post reports.
Speaking on CNNof ‘Newsnight’, O’Leary alleged Democratic Party bypassing the democratic process after selecting Harris as their nominee without a primary contest.
“They made an excuse for $317 million in the kitty. They hired the same campaign manager and said we’re going to anoint this flawed, broken candidate who was unqualified as his vice president,” he said, calling Kamala incompetent.
“Lost in 2019. Total loser in 2020, as you detailed. Could never clarify anything. There was no mercy for the people and his own advocates,” he said, adding that Harris had no respect for the American people.
O’Leary also raised questions about the Democratic Party’s internal decision-making process. In October, he mentioned reports that US Rep Nancy Pelosi Joe Biden urged him to step aside, citing doubts within the party about Harris’ ability to lead.
“Just 90 days ago, Pelosi went to Biden and said, ‘You need to step aside,’ and persuaded him to do so,” he said. “He made a decision, and he actually asked her, and we’ve learned this now, ‘Is she the right person to run this house?’ He questioned that,” O’Leary added.
O’Leary expressed frustration with Democrats’ reluctance to carry out the formal process. Candidate selection.
“Biden could have said, ‘We need to run a process for me to take this step,’ but they decided not to. I don’t know who ‘they’ are. Whether it was. [Barack] Obama? Was it Pelosi? I don’t care who it was,” he said.
The “Shark Tank” star also criticized Harris’ performance on The View, saying her failure to present a clear vision different from President Joe Biden further undermined her campaign. “She was so weak as a candidate, she couldn’t even answer that she would do something different,” O’Leary said.
“It caused a stir around the world. She was finished. They will never do that again,” he added.
