Nagpur: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Organization General Secretary Milind Parande has strongly reacted to Maulana Sajjad Nomani’s announcement to support Maha Vikas Aghadis (MVA) in 269 places. Parande questioned the move, saying, ‘Is it legal to instruct people of a particular religion on which party to vote for?’ Calling it against democratic values and constitution, he called upon the Hindu society to be vigilant. Also, on the arguments given by Rahul Gandhi on the Constitution, Parande said that the party which has caused the suffering of thousands of people by imposing Emergency has no right to speak on the Constitution.
Hindu community alert
Parande said that such efforts are a serious challenge to the Hindu society and should be made aware of it. Giving an example, he said, ‘During the Lok Sabha elections, what happened in the Dhule Lok Sabha seat was discussed in the whole of Maharashtra. In this way 8-10 meetings were discussed. A legislative vote changed the entire voting percentage and outcome. It is a matter of concern.’ Targeting people who are demanding ban on RSS, Parande said, ‘Those who talk about banning RSS, are they really patriotic? Is it so wrong to raise the issue of RSS ban? He said that RSS is constantly engaged in the service of the country.
‘Congress has no right to speak on Constitution’
Milind Parande also attacked Rahul Gandhi for showing the constitution book in election rallies. He said, ‘The party which brought Emergency and put thousands of people in jail has no right to speak on the Constitution.’ Parande also expressed his opinion about Nawab Malik contesting the election. He said that ‘Anyone who goes against Hindu interests is not good for society. We are not talking about any particular party, but if someone has given them a ticket, that is their thinking. He said that society should now think seriously about who to vote for and who not to.
