PM Narendra Modi addressed the convention of BAPS sect through digital medium at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Meanwhile, on Saturday, PM Modi said that the service done by the volunteers of Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in Bochasan provides strength to the country. It also increases the influence of India in the world. Meanwhile, he said that the country aims to become a developed India by 2047. The next two decades are also extremely important for BAPS volunteers. PM Modi further said that the work done by BPAC is transforming the lives of millions of people across the world through the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan, touching crores of souls and empowering the most marginalized people of the society. He said that this is why you become an inspiration and are worshipped. BAPS’s work strengthens India’s influence around the world and your work strengthens India. PM Modi said that in our culture it is called ‘Seva Param Dharma’ (Service is the greatest religion). These are not just words, but the values of our lives.
The PM remembered the incident
PM Modi further said that be it Bhuj Earthquake, Kerala Floods, Uttarakhand Landslide or Kovid 19 Pandemic, BAPS volunteers served the people with compassion in every crisis. He said BAPS volunteers helped when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out and the Indian government decided to evacuate Indians trapped in Ukraine. The prime minister said, “I spoke to the BAPS saint probably after midnight. I requested help for large number of Indians coming to Poland (from Ukraine). I saw how BAPS volunteers were brought together from all over Europe and how you helped Indians reach Poland.
