Location sharing
You can share your location with anyone through Instagram. This feature in Instagram is taken from WhatsApp. How you share your live location with your contacts. Similarly, you will be able to share your live location with your followers on Instagram as well. This will be very useful especially for influencers. They will be able to DM their followers about the location of any event, concert etc.
However, this feature will only work with people having private conversations. You cannot share your location with any stranger. This feature of Instagram is currently live in some countries. Soon it will be brought to other countries including India.
Nickname feature
Instagram has brought this feature especially for users who want to give their friends nicknames. Users can assign new nicknames to their friends present in the direct messaging list. For this, the user has to open the chat window of any of his friends present in the direct messaging tab. After this, an edit button will be created on the friend’s name, by tapping on which you can update the new nickname. This nickname will only appear to you in your DM chats.
New stickers
17 new sticker packs have been added to Instagram for users, in which more than 300 new funny stickers will be available. Users can use these stickers during direct messaging. Apart from this, users can also create their own stickers. Apart from these features, many features have been added to Instagram in the last few days, due to which the user experience has become better.
