India vs Australia 1st Test: The first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played from November 22 in Perth. Now, even before the start of the series, there is a bad news for the Australian team. Australia’s bowling coach Daniel Vettori will be with the team during the first Test. He will participate in the IPL 2025 mega auction as the coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The IPL auction will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Bowling coach of Australia from 2022
Daniel Vettori is one of those unique coaches in the world of cricket who is also the head coach of a franchise and also plays the role of assistant in the international team. He has been the bowling coach of the Australian team in all three formats since 2022 under Andrew McDonald. Considering his experience, Cricket Australia has allowed him to coach in franchise cricket as well.
The first time will leave in the middle of the exam
An Australian team spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo that we support Daniel’s role as head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Dan will complete all preparations for the first Test before participating in the IPL auction. After this he will remain with the team for the remaining matches of Border Gavaskar Trophy. This will be the first time he will leave mid-Test to participate in the IPL auction.
Ponting and Langer will also not be part of the first Test
Daniel Vettori was at the WACA ground for a training session with the Australian team on Monday. He worked closely with the bowling unit. Also, the batsmen were made to practice to prepare them to face Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling. On the other hand, Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer are working as commentators in an Australian broadcaster channel. But Ponting is the coach of Punjab Kings and Langer is the coach of Lucknow Super Giants. For this reason, it will not form part of the test to participate in the auction.
