Tilak Verma came to bat at number three in the fourth T20 match against South Africa. He scored 120 runs in 47 balls with the help of 9 fours and 10 sixes. This is his second century in T20 international cricket. He became the fifth Indian to score centuries in two consecutive T20Is. Before him, Gustav McCone, Riley Rousseau, Phil Salt, Sanju Samson have done this. Now Tilak has equaled these batsmen.

After scoring a century, Tilak Verma has now become the highest run-scorer for the Indian team in T20 bilateral series. He has broken the record of Indian team’s superstar batsman Virat Kohli. Tilak has scored a total of 280 runs including two centuries in T20 bilateral series against Africa. While Kohli scored a total of 231 runs in the T20 bilateral series against England in the year 2021. Now Tilak has gone far ahead of him.
Tilak Verma became the third fastest batsman to score a century in T20 Internationals for the Indian team. He scored a century against South Africa in just 41 balls. Rohit Sharma holds the record for fastest century in T20 Internationals for Team India. He scored a 35-ball century against Sri Lanka in the year 2017.
