On the demand of telecom companies, TRAI gave 10 days time to service providers to implement OTP traceability technology, which is about to be completed now. Let us tell you that earlier the deadline of this rule was fixed on October 31 but later it was extended to November 30.
TRAI has instructed to implement the technology
Due to lack of traceability system, OTP related or other business messages cannot be traced. Scammers and hackers take advantage of this to dupe people. Keeping this in mind, the telecom regulator has instructed to implement technology to trace the source of commercial messages sent in bulk from various service providers.
TRAI said this on OTP delay
After the implementation of TRAI’s OTP traceability rule, fake SMS and fake calls can be easily tracked. Earlier it was also discussed that due to the implementation of traceability rule, OTT messages for important purposes like banking may take time to be delivered (OTP delivery delay), but later it was stated by TRAI that in the new rules with implementation, OTP will be delivered without any delay. will be available.
After traceability is implemented, messages that are not registered will be blocked. A major advantage of this will be that users will be able to easily recognize the promotional message. According to TRAI, more than 27,000 large organizations have registered for this. Along with this, the registration process is also being speeded up. This rule of TRAI can bring a big change in the direction of secure and transparent communication.
