Trump picks the new head of NASA, nominating this billionaire businessman

Cape Canaveral: US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated people close to him for almost all positions ahead of his inauguration on January 20. Trump on Wednesday announced the appointment of billionaire Jared Isakman, who made the first private space flight with Elon Musk’s SpaceX for NASA, to his administration. Trump has nominated Jared Isaacman to lead NASA.

Jared Isakman, 41, the CEO and founder of a card processing company, accompanied the contest winners on that 2021 trip and briefly went into space on a mission to test SpaceX’s new spacewalking suit. If confirmed by the Senate, he would replace Bill Nelson, 82, a former Democratic senator from Florida who was nominated by President Joe Biden.

Daniel P. Driscoll nominated as US Secretary of Military Affairs

President-elect Donald Trump hired former Army and Iraq War veteran Daniel P. Nominated Driscoll as Secretary of the Armed Forces. Just on Wednesday, he expressed his intention to nominate cryptocurrency proponent Paul Atkins as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. (language)
