The listing says the job is located in Minnetonka, Minnesota and is a full-time and remote position with an annual salary between $300,000 and $450,000. According to the screenshots shown in the video, there have been over 100 applications for the role.

Fact-checking site Snopes.com deemed the screenshot fake and the claim unverified because there are no job postings on Linkedin. It was also pointed out that the compensation mentioned in the viral screenshot is much less than the compensation Brian Thompson received. Thompson’s annual pay package was $10.2 million—including salary, bonuses and stock options awards, according to the Associated Press. And CEO posts are rarely advertised to fill.
The UnitedHealthcare website removed Brian Thompson’s name and bio after the murder. Many other health insurance companies did the same because the murder looked like a targeted killing for personal revenge.
UnitedHealth Group has released a statement expressing its condolences on the death of Brian Thompson. “Our hearts go out to Brian’s family and those close to him,” the company said in a statement.
