UP’s 69 thousand teacher recruitment case hearing today in the Supreme Court, the eyes of the candidates are fixed on the decision.

Lucknow: There is a hearing in the Supreme Court today regarding the recruitment of 69 thousand teachers of UP. The Supreme Court stayed the decision of the High Court to publish the list of new recruits. In this matter, a hearing will be held today on the application of the selected candidates of the general category. The case has been going on in the Supreme Court since October.

The case was heard before a bench headed by CJI. It has been dated ever since. Before Diwali, the next date in the case was proposed to be 15th November. But now this hearing will be held today. A bench of Justices Dipankar Dutta and Prashant Kumar Mishra will hear the case.

What is the whole matter?

The UP government had recruited teachers for 69 thousand posts. Its examination was held in January 2019. After the exam candidates were given jobs as per the cutoff. The cutoff for General was 67.11%, while the cutoff for OBC was 66.73%.

In fact, the teacher aspirants said that 19 thousand posts were scammed in this recruitment and giving their stand on this, they claimed that OBCs should have got 27 per cent reservation in this recruitment, but instead got only 3.86 per cent reservation. was reserved. Similarly, the SC category should have got 21 per cent reservation, but instead got only 16.6 per cent reservation.

A complaint was filed in the High Court and the National Backward Commission in this matter. The High Court ordered a fresh list. The Supreme Court has stayed the decision of the High Court and a hearing has been fixed in this matter.

The students alleged that the quota for OBCs is 27%, while only 3.86% reservation was given. SC quota is 21 percent, while 16.6 candidates got jobs.
