Video: Cartridges strewn on roads in Pakistan, army orders ‘shoot-at-sight’

Islamabad: There has been tremendous political upheaval in Pakistan these days. Security personnel took swift action at midnight in D Chowk and its surrounding areas located in the country’s capital, Islamabad. Supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan have ended their protest after the action of security personnel. However, in a video from Pakistan, empty cartridges are seen scattered on the road. International Human Rights Foundation has also noticed this video and criticized Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Pakistani army has also ordered to shoot the protesters on sight.

‘Trying to kill as many people as possible’

Imran Khan’s party PTI termed the action by the security personnel as an attempt at ‘genocide’ carried out under a ‘fascist military regime’. It is said that the police have arrested around 450 demonstrators. Khan’s party has said that the security forces opened fire on the protesters with the intention of killing as many people as possible. According to reports, at least 6 people have been killed in action by security forces in Pakistan. PTI said that there is bloodshed in the country. Let us tell you that Imran Khan, who has been in jail since August last year, gave a final call for nationwide protests on November 24. He made this call on November 13.

Human Rights Foundation also raised questions

At the same time, the International Human Rights Foundation has said on Pakistan’s position, ‘The International Human Rights Organization (IHRF) condemns the brutal use of force by the Pakistani state against peaceful demonstrators. Reports of extrajudicial abductions, political persecution and international repression by the authoritarian regime in Pakistan have attracted global attention. We urge the international community to respond to the military junta-backed regime in Pakistan, which came to power through allegedly massively rigged elections.’ The foundation has also criticized Imran Khan’s imprisonment.
