Many Kannada supporters’ groups and fans have criticized Royal Challengers Bangalore’s move. He has accused the RCB management of imposing Hindi on the Kannada-speaking followers. Many have taken to social media to express their displeasure. Some have even started an online petition urging the management to reconsider the decision.

Fans also came out in support of RCB
However, another section of fans have defended RCB’s move. He has asserted that RCB has a global fan base. In such a situation, RCB should not be limited by language restrictions. He argues that the Hindi account is aimed at different segments of the team’s fans and should not be seen as a divisive move.
