When will these parts of North India including Delhi-NCR get severe cold? The IMD said that many states are receiving heavy rains

Cold has hit many parts of North India including Delhi. The first snowfall of the season has also started in the mountains. Due to which the cold has started increasing in plain areas. There is a significant drop in morning and evening temperatures. Mild cold wind has been blowing in Delhi-NCR since Monday evening.

Two-day yellow alert in Delhi

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Delhi’s temperature is 2.7 degrees above normal. A yellow alert has been issued for Thursday and Friday (November 28 and 29) in Delhi-NCR.

Visibility may be reduced due to fog

Issuing the alert, the Meteorological Department said that visibility may decrease in the coming days due to dense fog. Due to which morning and night temperature will decrease further. Cold is likely to increase.

Also alert for Himachal, Punjab and Haryana

Apart from Delhi-NCR, the IMD said the weather is rapidly changing in various parts of Himachal Pradesh. Dense fog is likely in Himachal during morning from 27th to 30th November. Dense fog is also predicted in Punjab and Haryana for the next three days.

It is raining heavily in these states

On the other hand, many parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Kerala are receiving heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a deep pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal may turn into a cyclonic storm by Wednesday. It may cross the Sri Lankan coast and move towards Tamil Nadu in the next two days.

As of 8.30 am on Tuesday, the Met department said the deep depression was centered 310 km south-east of Trincomalee, 710 km south-southeast of Puducherry and 800 km south-southeast of Chennai.

The cyclonic storm is moving towards the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu

The IMD said, ‘It is likely to continue moving towards north-northwest and become a cyclonic storm on November 27. After this, it will cross the Sri Lankan coast and continue moving towards the Tamil Nadu coast in the next two days.
