Will there be a separate recharge plan for keypad phone users? The government said this

Mobile phone has become an essential device nowadays. Along with calling, it is widely used for many daily routine tasks. However, increasingly expensive recharge plans have become a major problem for mobile users. There are crores of users in the country who use mobile phones only for calling. But, since there is no separate plan for calling, one has to buy an expensive plan.

Is the government or the telcos currently planning something that will give non-smartphone users i.e. keypad phone users a break from expensive recharge plans? Now this matter has been approved by the government. Let us tell you about it in detail.

Question asked the government

In fact, a question put to the Union government in the Lok Sabha recently said that there are many users in the country who neither use smartphones nor need any kind of data plan. Has there been any discussion whether the government is planning something new for the users of such keypad phones?

In response to this question, the Union Ministry of Telecommunication replied that there is no such plan at present and no work is being done in this direction. The Union Ministry of Telecom has clarified that the current recharge plan for smartphone users and keypad phone users will continue as is. This means that neither the government nor the telecom companies are currently working on any new plans for keypad phone users.

The number of customers of BSNL has increased

Let us tell you that Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vi are three big telecom companies of the country. These three companies had drastically increased the prices of their recharge plans in the month of July this year. After the price hike, users of private companies have shifted to state-owned telecom company BSNL. BSNL is working fast towards stabilizing its 4G network to facilitate its customers.
