Wow Canadian police! First supported the Khalistanis, now demanded money in return for the protection of the Hindus

Indian Canada row: Local police have also started supporting Khalistan supporters, seeing the Justin Trudeau-led government’s soft stance towards Khalistan supporters amid deteriorating relations between Canada and India. Its identity is clearly visible after the attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada. No concrete action has yet been taken against the supporters of Khalistani militants. Meanwhile, the police has come down on discrimination against Hindus. Canadian police have demanded money from Hindu organizations in exchange for providing security at events. However, nothing has been officially said about this.

Demanding money in return for security

Media reports quoting sources have said that the Peel police have allegedly demanded 70 thousand dollars from Hindu organizations in return for providing security. After this attitude of the police, there is a lot of resentment among the people of Hindu organizations. Not only that, Trudeau’s government is being accused of violating minority rights. Many Hindu organizations say, “We also pay taxes, so why this discrimination?”

Relations between India and Canada are strained

Hindu organizations say that Khalistani groups are pressuring the Canadian government to cancel their programs and that Justin Trudeau’s government is caving in to this pressure. This is the first time in the world that local police are demanding a fee in exchange for protection of minorities. Khalistani supporters are raising anti-India slogans and staging violent demonstrations in various Canadian cities, leaving the Hindu community feeling insecure. The controversy involving the Canadian police comes at a time when diplomatic relations between India and Canada are strained.
