Sam Ayub created a historic record with a brilliant innings, becoming the first batsman to do so in ODI cricket.

Saim Ayub Century: Pakistan team defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the second ODI match. Every move of the Pakistani team in this match was absolutely correct. The bowlers and batsmen performed brilliantly for the team. Zimbabwe set Pakistan a target of 146 runs to win, which Pakistan achieved with the help of Sam Ayub’s storming century. Apart from Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq contributed 32 runs.

Completed his century in just 53 balls

Sam Ayub looked in rhythm from the start of the innings and took the Zimbabwean bowlers to task. The bowlers of the opposing team could not stand against him. He quickly scored runs and scored his maiden ODI century in just 53 balls. He became the third fastest batsman to score a century for Pakistan in ODI cricket. Only Shahid Afridi is ahead of him.

Sam Ayub scored 113 off 62 balls against Zimbabwe which included 17 fours and three sixes. Due to this, the Pakistani team was able to win the match and also achieved a 1-1 draw in the series. Pakistan had to lose the first ODI match by 80 runs. Sam Ayub has become the first batsman to score a century in ODI cricket when the team scored less than 150 runs. No batsman had scored a century before the team’s score of 150 runs in ODIs. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 145 runs. Chasing the target, Pakistan scored 148 runs and won the match.

Sam Ayub made his ODI debut for Pakistan in the year 2024. After this, he has scored a total of 436 runs in 7 ODI matches so far. He has also played 6 Tests and 23 T20 Internationals for the Pakistan team.
