Interesting by-election on Karhal seat
The by-election in Karhal seat of UP’s Mainpuri district is interesting. This seat is considered to be the stronghold of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family. Tej Pratap Yadav is in the fray from here. He has been MP from Mainpuri. After Akhilesh was elected as MP from Kannauj Lok Sabha seat, this seat has become vacant. Interestingly, BJP has made Akhilesh Yadav’s brother-in-law Anujesh Yadav its candidate to contest against Tej Pratap.
