Trump hit his lowest approval rating since the 2020 election.

“Reactions to the election results differed sharply depending on who voters supported: 67% of Harris voters were surprised by the results, while 71% of Trump voters were not surprised by his victory,” Kimball explained.
Trump’s favorability ratings have been somewhat sporadic in the wake of the November 5 election. Another Economist/YouGov poll put it at 50% favorable and 49% unfavorable.
Overall, Trump averages 45.5% favorable and 51.4% unfavorable, according to the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate of polling, all of which, except Emerson and the Economist, were taken before the election.
According to a CBS News/YouGov survey, 59 percent approve of Trump’s transition and 41 percent disapprove.

Now JD Vance top pick for 2028

Emerson College Polling surveyed a projected 2028 candidate with JD Vance at 30 percent, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 5 percent, Vivek Ramaswamy at 3 percent, Kennedy Jr. and Nikki Haley tied at 2 percent.
On the Democratic front, Kamala Harris is the top choice with 37 percent, followed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom at 7 percent, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (4%) — tied with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Only 3%.
