An Air India international flight from Paris to Delhi got into a strange situation on Monday when the pilot got off the flight in Jaipur as his duty hours were over. The pilot said his duty hours were over. More than 180 passengers on board the flight were disturbed for 9 hours at the Jaipur airport. After this he was sent to Delhi by road.
Flight to Paris got stuck in Jaipur
Let us tell you that this flight was Air India’s AI-2022, which left Paris for Delhi at 10 pm on Sunday. The scheduled time of the flight was 10:35 am, but the plane could not land in Delhi due to bad weather. After this, on instructions from the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the pilot landed the flight in Jaipur, where he waited for clearance for the flight till afternoon. When clearance was delayed and the pilot was over duty, he abandoned the flight, leaving all passengers on board to wait with no clear solution.
The passengers created an uproar
Angry passengers created ruckus at the airport and demanded alternative flights, but no concrete action was taken by the airlines. More than 180 passengers faced difficulties at Jaipur airport for almost 9 hours. However, during this period, the airport authority provided food and other facilities to the passengers to alleviate their dissatisfaction. After this, some passengers left for Delhi in their personal vehicles. While some were sent to Delhi by bus by the airline company.
