Has Nepal understood the trick of the ‘dragon’? PM KP Sharma Oli has made a big statement before China tour

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there will be no agreement on the loan during his upcoming visit to China. PM Oli will go on an official visit to China on December 2. During a meeting with former Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office ‘Singh Darbar’, Oli claimed that the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ with China is not a debt-based agreement and there is no need to discuss whether to take loans from China or not?

What did PM Oli say?

“We take loans or grants from any country or agency when required, keeping in view our national interests,” Oli said categorically. We should not be swayed by this baseless rumor that loans are being taken to trap the country under debt burden.” He said, “We have friendly relations with China. I will visit this neighboring country to make our friendship more multi-dimensional.” He said, “Whichever country we choose for our first visit, we will give top priority to sovereignty, freedom and independence as well as national welfare and global welfare.
