UK Parliament Sikh MP Lord Indrajit Singh Portrait: UK and Europe’s first turban-wearing Sikh MP Lord Indrajit Singh has received a major honour. In recognition of his services and contribution to the nation, his portrait is installed in the Bishop’s Corridor of the House of Lords of the British Parliament in Westminster, London. This is the first time that a portrait of a Sikh has been displayed in the British Parliament. British Sikh MP Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi, Lord Kuldeep Singh Sahota, Jas Athwal MP, Kirith Entwistle MP, Richard Bacon, MP Bhagat Singh Shankar and Lady Singh Dr. Lord Indrajit Singh’s portrait unveiling ceremony was held in the presence of Kanwaljit Kaur OB, his family and friends.
