Team India played their last T20I match against South Africa on 18 February 2018 in Johannesburg. At the time, this was the first match of the 3-match T20I series with Virat Kohli captaining the Indian team and Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a wicketkeeper-batsman. The responsibility of starting the team’s innings was in the hands of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Players like Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Manish Pandey, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jaydev Undkat also participated in that match. But time passed and gradually most of these players lost touch with the team.
