IND vs SA, 4th T20I: The Indian team’s tour of South Africa has come to an end. The fourth and final match of the 4-match T20I series will be played in Johannesburg. The Indian team leads the series 2-1 and will now try to win the series 3-1. However, the hosts South Africa will be eyeing a draw in the series.
Johannesburg Wanderers have always been lucky for Team India. Team India won the first T20 World Cup in 2007 by defeating Pakistan at this ground. Indian team’s record on this ground is excellent. Team India has played a total of 4 T20I matches here so far and has managed to win all of them. Team India played their last T20I match 6 years ago i.e. in the year 2018 in Johannesburg. Team India has changed a lot since then. Many players have been dropped from the Indian team in these 6 years. Many veteran players are also involved in this.

Team India played their last T20I match against South Africa on 18 February 2018 in Johannesburg. At the time, this was the first match of the 3-match T20I series with Virat Kohli captaining the Indian team and Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a wicketkeeper-batsman. The responsibility of starting the team’s innings was in the hands of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Players like Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Manish Pandey, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jaydev Undkat also participated in that match. But time passed and gradually most of these players lost touch with the team.
9 players are not part of Team India
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have said goodbye to T20I cricket while Shikhar Dhawan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina have retired from all three formats of cricket. At the same time, Manish Pandey, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jaydev Undkat have been out of the team for a long time. Only 2 players from the playing eleven of the T20I match played in Johannesburg 6 years ago are currently with Team India. Among them, Hardik Pandya is the only player who will play the fourth T20I match of the series against South Africa today as Jasprit Bumrah is with the Test team on the tour of Australia.
